Decorative Lights
Keus requires strict validation for decorative lights, to confirm compatibility with the Keus Home Automation System.
It is recommended to ensure you only buy decorative fixtures that come with a Dimmable DALI Driver, and provide a sample of the DALI Driver for Keus to confirm compatibility.
Alternatively, if unsure, the safest option is to ask your vendor to demonstrate that the decorative light fixture you plan to buy can be dimmed with a common rotary dimmer. This would mean buying a decorative light that comes with either an inbuilt dimming phase-cut driver or a dimmable bulb, either way, Keus can automate and dim the same (this would require Keus to provide an extra dimming control product, i.e. an in-line phase dimmer or a Smart Control 2, at extra cost).
NOTE:
Keus cannot coordinate directly with your vendor for this, the client has to ensure this coordination directly, and please route samples & drivers to us through your Keus Project In-Charge.
IMPORTANT:
Phase-cut / analogue dimming is never as smooth, and never has as wide a dimming range, as a digital dimming product (DALI or Zigbee). This is a trade-off the client should be aware of while selecting decorative lights.
